Whenever I am in Delhi, I make it a point to go out exploring the food scenario of this amazing city. I mean, seriously, how can one not love the food that seems to be the essence of this capital of India? The street food is sumptuous, but I have tasted that quite a few times. This time I was on the lookout for something a little more refined. Something for appealing to my fine dining tastes.

I decided to check out Shangri La, since I had heard a lot of good words about the hotel. And apart from reviews on established travel sites, I only rely on the word of mouth of people who have been to a certain place and tried out the cuisine. Shangri La has one of the most popular Multi Cuisine Restaurants in Delhi, and they apparently offer a host of delicacies from all over the world. I went there anticipating a meager menu! But what a spread it was, I could have ordered from probably any continent of the world, and they would have had it.

If you are looking for a good Restaurant in Connaught Place then this is the place for you to go to, to really enjoy yourself. The ambience really rocked, with a sense of serenity stealing over me, and the experts servers were ever ready to help me understand how a certain dish is prepared and if I might like it.

Had a Great Meal at One of the Buffet Restaurants in Delhi

I have had a hankering for Japanese food for so long that I have refused to dine out unless we can go to a good Japanese Restaurant in Delhi. And we finally found it in Shangri La. One of the best Buffet Restaurants in Delhi, their Japanese restaurant is to absolutely die for. The delicious aromas wafting out of the kitchen had me salivating. I simply couldn’t wait any more to grab on to whatever was being cooked inside. As the menu was being brought to us, it was all I could do to hurry the man along, willing him to walk faster, willing him to understand how hungry I was. We ordered a huge platter of tempura, vegetarian as well as non vegetarian, and that was just for starters.

It tasted absolutely great, crispy and yet somehow melting in the mouth. What a delicious start to an even more delicious dinner. The main course followed, with California sushi rolls that came in a vibrant flurry of aromas and colors. They simply stole my heart away. Loved them, I did, and could have had more. The assorted sushi platter was next, and I had a fun time deciphering what fishes have been used in what sushi. Truly the best dinner of my life, and I am not exaggerating. Don’t believe me? Then go try out the best Buffet Restaurant in Delhi that serves authentic Japanese cuisine.
